Give Right

Many people give with a wrong motive! They give because of what they want to get. What God always looks for is the motive and attitude behind the act.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38 KJV)

In whatever you do, always seek to please God with your resources. You can be sure that He cannot rob you.

A self-centered man is a discontented man. But the soul of the generous man, the man who lives for the interests and benefit of others, will find blessing upon blessing in his life. John MacArthur

Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
(1 Timothy 6:6-8 ESV)

Ask for the grace to be a channel of blessing to others

God gives second chances

Listen and God will forgive you and blot your sins away; and will give you the power of the Holy Spirit to live a new life. God gives second chances. He is reaching out to you again to give you another chance to repent. It may be too late for you to repent. God will forgive you and restore you again. But if you continue to disobey and live in sin, God’s anger will descend on you like king Manasseh. That could be fatal. Don’t take God’s grace for granted. Rev. Uche Ikpa.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.(1 John 1:9)

Pray that the Lord will have mercy on you today

Don’t give up

What we seem to be losing now cannot be compared to the reward that is prepared for us. What the wicked seem to be enjoying now should not entice us to join their sinful lifestyle.

At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD. (Zephaniah 3:20|KJV)

Are you trying to change your stand because you think you cannot cope with the challenges you are facing now? Don’t do that. Hold on to the end.

Surrender to Jesus?

If you are willing to believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and if you are willing to accept Him as your savior, then you are invited to pray this prayer with me:

Lord Jesus, I have been a sinner, please forgive me.
Thank You for dying on the cross for me and freeing me from sin.
Help us to live as You commanded us, “That we love one another as You have loved us.”
Please send me the Holy Spirit, and help me live by that Spirit.
I’m praying this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen

“May there be abundant grain throughout
the land, flourishing even on the hilltops.
May the fruit trees flourish like the trees of
Lebanon, and may the people thrive like
grass in a field. (Psalm 72:16)

As you go out this week, you will experience abundant of God’s favour!

When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance. Joel Osteen

“But just as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us–see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” (2 Corinthians 8:7, NIV)

It is not enough to excel in faith, speech, knowledge and zeal; generous, sacrificial giving is essential for a complete Christian service. Be a generous giver to friends in your school, colleagues at work and neighbours at home.

We must give more in order to get more. It is the generous giving of ourselves that produces the generous harvest. – Orison Swett Marden

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” (2 Corinthians 9:6 NIV).

Givers never lack. Ask God to make you a generous giver.
