• The Steadfast Love of God
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. – C. S. Lewis But let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight, declares the LORD. • Confession
When we confess our sins to God, we are agreeing with God that we were wrong, that we have sinned. God forgives us, through confession, on an ongoing basis because of the fact that He is “faithful and just.” How is God “faithful and just”? He is faithful by forgiving sins, which He has promised to do for all those who receive Christ as Savior. He is just by applying Christ’s payment for our sins, recognizing that the sins have indeed been atoned for. John OwenContinue reading “Confession”

  • Known for the Truth
Jesus reigns for the cause of the truth. This is quite different from what we experience today. The world system is full of lies, deceit, and corruption. It is shameful to say that there are those who are subjects of the King of kings in the setting where people celebrate lies and corruption. “In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deed.” (Psalm 45:4, NIV). People are reading you daily; let them see Jesus inContinue reading “Known for the Truth”

  • Worshiping in Faith

Today’s 🍞 Bread The point you need to know as a child of God is that though others may misuse their tongue, you cannot afford to. This is because you belong to Christ, thus everything you do must be to His glory. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.” (James 3:5, NIV) As you go out today, decide in your heart that whatever will comeContinue reading “Tongue”

The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom

Loving God has to do with
reverencing Him. Our love for God is
demonstrated by how much we fear Him.
God is interested in the fact that we fear
(reverence) Him and obey His Word.

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. (Exodus 20:20|KJV)

Do you fear God? Do you
hallow His Name and Word? Or, do you take
His instructions for granted? Note that God
will always test your heart to see if you will
fear and obey Him. It is in your own interest
to fear God.
