Self Centered

Our world promotes self and selfishness. People do things because of what they can get for themselves. People use other to achieve their own goals and desires. So there are at kinds of demands-friends want loyalty; family members demand attention. Bosses demand our time. Subordinates want our support. On the other hand, colleagues often desire a slip-up so they can advance. Competitors hope for some errors to leapfrog us. And sadly, sometimes, even those we care about appear to be undermining our efforts. The result? We often feel like we owe no one anything.
